Cruise Ship Project and Test

Thanks for that info, I just assumed it would default to the last land mass.

Iā€™d say the success we had was highly dependent on having a GTM that was on the Balcony. Outdoors and exposed. Placing them at various locations on the ship will have challenges because of all the steel. Iā€™d guess you are not getting that much value doing so. Too bad we canā€™t have more powerful relay only type devices with larger antennas that can act as a hub but I guess the frequency range doesnā€™t permit that.

Another reason I think we had success is that many of our party had a GTM and they were constantly roaming the ship at various times. More often than not we were going through one or two relays to get our messages through.

Iā€™ve posted about the GTMs on Cruise Critic also. A very popular forums community for cruising. The more the GTM gets out there and the more people that bring them the better they will work. Thatā€™s the key. Getting the nodes out there.

Build itā€¦and they will text.
