Location tethering

I was expecting that when using location tethering it would drop pins for each time location is shared. This to me seems to be a no brainer, and disappointed it doesn’t work like this. Am I missing something here???

further to this- if it dropped pins for every location share then you could map out range quite a bit easier.

A pin is a different thing than a location share. The pin is a permanent location, while your location share is a temporary, “just passing through” marker that is associated just with the one trip.

There has been discussion in the past about setting up something similar to what you describe to help lay out coverage from relay nodes, which is currently able to only use circular boundaries to denote coverage. It will probably become a feature at some point, after other higher priority projects get caught up.
